"I've been working in the NDIS sector for over 12 years — and I'm also a carer for my own child with a disability. I've sat on both sides of this. As a carer, I've spent months trying to find the right OT or speech therapist, only to hit dead ends on the NDIA finder. As someone who knows this sector, I know how many excellent sole trader providers are completely invisible to the families who need them. Caredex exists to fix that — for both sides."

Building now — Melbourne opens January 2027

193+ Australian providers registered.
Development is already underway.

This wasn't a marketing campaign — it was a genuine test of whether Australian NDIS providers wanted a free, verified directory. Over 100 providers registered by our original validation deadline, so we're building it. Melbourne metro opens to participant search in January 2027 — the first city in Australia with a fully verified NDIS provider directory. Providers from every Australian state, territory, and region are welcome to register as Founding Partners now.

What this means for your practice specifically
When a participant in your suburb searches for a verified NDIS provider in January 2027, your profile appears — with your credential badge, your live availability status, and your Founding Partner badge showing you registered before launch. That participant sees immediately that you are qualified, that you are available, and that you chose to be here before this was launched. That trust signal is built into your profile permanently.

A direct message from the founder
"I have 12 years of experience in the NDIS sector. I know how hard it is for families to find the right provider — I have lived it personally as a carer. I know how invisible excellent sole trader providers are to the participants who need them. I believed this problem was real and worth solving — and I asked the sector to prove me right before I spent months building it.

100 providers registering by August 15 was the bar I set myself. We passed it — and development started the same month. Now it's about building this properly and reaching January 2027 with genuine, verified coverage. Every provider who registers between now and 15 January becomes a Founding Partner, with the same permanent recognition the first 100 earned.

Your registration still costs you 2 minutes and nothing else. The difference now is you're not taking a chance on an idea — you're joining something that's already being built."

National rollout — two tracks

Melbourne metro launches January 2027 — providers welcome nationally now.

Melbourne metro is Phase 1 — opening to participant search in January 2027. Provider registration is open to every Australian provider right now, building national coverage from day one. Participant search opens in each region as we build genuine verified coverage — ensuring every family who searches actually finds real options near them.

Track 1

🟢 All of Victoria

⏱ When we verify your credentials

Why does participant search start in Melbourne?
A directory with 500 verified Melbourne providers serves participants better than a directory with 50 providers spread across Australia. We open participant search in each area only when we have built genuine, comprehensive verified coverage — so every family who searches actually finds real options near them. This is not preference for Melbourne — it is the responsible way to launch a directory that participants can trust. Every provider registered now — from Cairns to Hobart, Darwin to Perth — is building the coverage that opens their area sooner.
Our commitment: Caredex will never discriminate by geography, service model, or registration status. Every Australian NDIS provider — metropolitan and regional, face-to-face and telehealth, NDIS-registered and unregistered — is welcome to list as a Founding Partner right now. Your Founding Partner badge is permanent regardless of which state you practise in.

Questions

Common questions

For providers
Yes, completely. Your profile, your searchability, and receiving direct connection requests from participants are always free. We offer optional paid tools ($79/month) for providers who want practice management features — invoicing, session notes, service agreements — but being listed and found costs nothing, ever. This is a permanent commitment, not a promotional period.
Both NDIS registered and unregistered providers are welcome. Your registration status is shown clearly on your profile so participants with self-managed or plan-managed funding can find you. What is required is a verifiable professional credential — AHPRA registration, NDIS Commission registration, or membership of a recognised professional association. ABN alone is not sufficient.
In writing, on this page: Your listing will always be free. We will verify your credentials against the correct Australian register before you go live — an actual check, not a tick-box. We will contact you before September 2026 to confirm what you need. We will give you direct input on features built. We will re-verify credentials annually at no cost. If you want to be removed at any point, we will do it within 24 hours, no questions asked. If Caredex does not proceed for any reason, all your submitted data will be deleted immediately.
Validation already passed — 100+ Australian providers registered by our original deadline, and development started the same month. You can verify this is real right now: ABN 66 682 927 359 on abr.business.gov.au, LinkedIn profile at linkedin.com/in/emamhossain showing 12 years of NDIS sector experience, phone 0423 918 804, email hello@caredex.com.au at this domain. Your registration takes 2 minutes and commits you to nothing.
You are registering your interest and reserving your Founding Partner spot. No payment, no contract, no obligation. You will receive a confirmation email immediately. We will contact you as your area approaches launch to verify your credentials and complete your full profile. You can withdraw at any time by emailing hello@caredex.com.au.
The provider registration page is live — you can register now. Development on the searchable directory is genuinely underway, following successful validation in August 2026. The directory where participants find providers opens in Melbourne in January 2027. This honest timeline is deliberate — we want genuine provider coverage before participants arrive, not an empty directory on day one.
Provider registration is open nationally right now — all states, all territories, all regions, metropolitan and rural, face-to-face and telehealth. Participant search (where participants can find you) rolls out by geography: Melbourne metro opens January 2027, regional Victoria mid-2027, Sydney mid-2027, Brisbane late 2027, other capitals through 2027–2028, and regional Australia nationally from 2028. Register now regardless of your location — we will email you when participants can search in your area. Founding Partner benefits apply permanently regardless of state.
Caredex was founded by Dr. Emam Hossain — an NDIS sector professional with 12+ years of experience across service design, business architecture, systems development, and product management, and also a personal carer navigating the NDIS. Having seen this problem from both sides — how hard it is for families to find verified providers, and how invisible excellent sole trader providers are to the participants who need them — Caredex was built to solve both. ABN 66 682 927 359. Melbourne, Victoria.
All data is hosted on AWS Sydney (ap-southeast-2) and never leaves Australia. We comply with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles. Form submissions are processed via Formspree (USA) under a data processing agreement, then stored on Australian infrastructure. Full details in our Privacy Policy below.
Yes, at any time, no questions asked. Email hello@caredex.com.au and we will remove your details within 24 hours. We will never charge you for removing or editing your profile.
Your Founding Partner status is locked in from the day you register, regardless of build progress. We only open participant search in an area once we have genuine, verified provider coverage there — so if your area's opening is delayed, it's because we're protecting the quality of what participants see, not because anything has gone wrong with your registration. You'll be notified either way.
15 January 2027 is the day before Melbourne metro opens to participant search. Founding Partner status recognises everyone who registered and helped build genuine provider coverage before that first area went live. Providers who register after Melbourne opens are still very welcome — they simply receive a standard listing rather than the permanent Founding Partner badge.
Caredex lets you search for verified NDIS providers near you by profession, suburb, availability, and funding type. Every provider has been credential-checked before appearing in results. You see live availability status — no more calling 10 providers to find one with an opening. Connect directly, leave verified reviews after confirmed connections. Melbourne participant search opens January 2027 — register your interest above and we'll email you the moment you can search in your area.
I am interstate — what happens between now and when my area opens?
Three things, and we want to be completely clear about each. First — your place is reserved now, permanently. Your Founding Partner status is locked from the date you register, regardless of which state you are in or when your area opens. This is not a waitlist. Second — we will not verify your credentials too early. Credential checks expire annually. Verifying you in 2026 for a 2028 opening would mean doing it twice and asking you for details that will have changed. We verify in your area's release cycle, when it actually matters. Third — you will hear from us before your area opens. Approximately 8 weeks before participant search opens in your region we contact you to confirm your details, verify your credentials against the live register, and build your full profile so you are live on day one. We also send a short rollout update to all interstate registrants every six months so you always know where things stand. If you would rather not hear from us at any point, one email to hello@caredex.com.au removes you completely.
I am based in regional Victoria / regional Australia — can I still register?
Absolutely — and we specifically want you to. Provider registration is open to every Australian provider right now regardless of whether you are in Melbourne, Geelong, Ballarat, Bendigo, or Broome. Regional NDIS providers face some of the worst provider visibility challenges in the country — families in regional areas often cannot find qualified practitioners at all. Your Founding Partner status is permanent and identical to a metropolitan provider's. Participant search opens in your area as we build verified coverage — Melbourne metro first, then regional Victoria, then other cities and regions. You will be listed and searchable when your area opens.
I provide telehealth services — can I list on Caredex?
Yes — telehealth providers are explicitly welcome and important to Caredex's mission. Many NDIS participants — particularly in regional and remote areas — access support primarily through telehealth. When you register, you will be able to indicate whether you offer face-to-face services, telehealth, or both. Your profile will show your telehealth availability alongside your credential badge and live availability status. Participants searching in areas where face-to-face providers are limited will be able to filter for telehealth providers specifically. You will be listed and searchable across all areas you serve via telehealth when participant search opens in those regions.
I am not in Melbourne — why does participant search start there?
A directory with 500 verified Melbourne providers gives participants genuine choice and a trustworthy experience. A directory with 50 providers spread thinly across the country gives participants a frustrating experience of very limited results. We open participant search in each area only when we have built genuine, comprehensive verified coverage — so every family who searches actually finds real options near them. This is the responsible way to launch a directory. It is not preference for Melbourne — it is a commitment to quality over speed in every area we open. Every provider registered nationally right now is building the coverage that accelerates when their region opens. The more providers registered from your area before we open it to participants, the sooner it opens.
I am an NDIS unregistered provider — am I welcome on Caredex?
Yes — completely. Caredex welcomes both NDIS-registered and NDIS-unregistered providers. Your registration status is shown clearly on your profile so participants with self-managed or plan-managed funding can find you. Many excellent sole trader allied health professionals choose to remain NDIS-unregistered for valid business reasons — this does not make them less qualified or less trustworthy. Your credential verification through AHPRA, your professional body, or your Worker Screening clearance is what matters to Caredex. Your NDIS registration status is simply information for participants to make informed choices about which funding type works for them.
Yes — completely free for participants, carers, and support coordinators searching for providers. Free to search, free to connect, free to review. Always. The optional $79/month paid tools are for providers only — participants never pay anything.
Every provider is manually verified against the appropriate Australian register before their profile appears — AHPRA for OTs, psychologists, physiotherapists, and audiologists; NDIS Commission for support coordinators and behaviour support practitioners; Speech Pathology Australia for speech pathologists; and so on. We do not accept self-declaration. We check the actual register. Credentials are re-verified annually. Each profile shows exactly which credential was verified so you can check it yourself.
Yes — every profile has a visible Report button. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours. If a provider appears fraudulent, has incorrect credentials, or has behaved unsafely, we act immediately. Serious safety concerns are escalated to the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission at 1800 035 544 the same day. Participant safety is the foundation everything here is built on.
